Privacy, cookies and disclosures.
Privacy
We collect the details you give us, such as your name, email, handicap and, if you choose, your WhatsApp number, to run the Clubhouse, the Test Panel and The Deft Notes. We use MailerLite to send emails. When you buy from the Club Shop, Stripe takes your payment and we receive your name, delivery address, email and phone number so we can send your order. We never see your card details. We don't sell your data.
Club Shop orders are handled by Hayley Defty Consulting Ltd, which trades as Paul D. Golf, and it is responsible for the details you give when you buy. Registered in England and Wales, company number 17246672, registered office 20 Tarragon Way, South Shields, Tyne and Wear, NE34 8TA.
When you click an affiliate link on our site, you leave Paul D. Golf and the retailer or affiliate network may set its own cookie to record that you came from us. That happens on their site, under their privacy policy. We don't pass them your name or email, and they don't pass us yours.
Email and WhatsApp are separate choices. You can unsubscribe from either at any time, and you can ask us to see, change or delete your details by emailing hello@pauldgolf.com.
Cookies
Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser. Some are needed for a site to work. Others, like analytics, are optional, and under UK law (UK GDPR and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations) we only use those if you say yes.
When you first visit, we ask whether you're happy for us to use analytics. Accepting and rejecting are equally easy, and nothing optional runs until you choose. We remember your answer for six months, then ask again. You can change your mind at any time with the link at the bottom of every page. If you switch analytics off, we delete the analytics cookies from your browser.

Google Analytics tells us things like which pages are read and roughly where visitors are in the world. We have IP anonymisation switched on and we don't use it for advertising. Google processes this data for us, and it may be handled outside the UK under Google's standard data protection terms. How Google uses this data.
Videos. Our videos are not loaded until you press play. When you do, they play through YouTube's privacy enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), and YouTube may then store data in your browser. Pressing play is your choice to load it.
Sign up forms. When you sign up for The Deft Notes, join the Founding Member list or apply for the Test Panel, your details are sent to MailerLite, who send our emails. Opening our emails can be tracked by MailerLite so we know they're arriving. See the privacy section above.
Fonts. Our fonts are hosted on our own server, so loading a page doesn't send your details to anyone else.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you have a question about cookies or your data, email hello@pauldgolf.com. If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Affiliate disclosure
Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you buy through them we may earn a small commission, at no extra cost to you. We only link to kit that passed our test, every affiliate link is labelled, and a commission never changes a verdict. As an Amazon Associate, Paul D. Golf earns from qualifying purchases. Offer and member code terms
- Each offer says who it's for: everyone, or Clubhouse members only. It also says what you get and when it ends.
- Partner offers are provided by the partner, not by Paul D. Golf. The partner's own terms apply, and they're responsible for the product, booking or lesson you buy.
- Members only codes are for the member they're given to. Please don't post them publicly or share them outside the Clubhouse. If a code is shared, we may change it.
- Codes can't be swapped for cash, can't be used on orders already placed and can't be combined with other codes unless the offer says so.
- Partners can end or change an offer. We'll update the offer page as soon as we know, but always check the final price before you pay.
Trip referrals
Golf trips featured on this site are booked and paid for directly with the travel firm, which holds its own ATOL protection where required. Paul D. Golf does not sell package holidays. We may earn a referral fee when you book, and every partner link is labelled.
Photos of members
Every photo of a member on this site is shared with the permission of the people in it. When you send us a photo, please check everyone in it is happy for it to go online. We only show children's photos with a parent or guardian's written permission, and we never name them. If you're in a photo and want it removed, email hello@pauldgolf.com and we'll take it down.
Test Panel terms
- Applying is free. Testers are chosen by fit (handicap, kit and the product being tested), not by draw.
- Before each test we'll tell you whether you keep the kit and how long the test runs.
- Your verdict is yours. With your permission it's published under your first name, initial and handicap.
- No brand can change or buy a verdict.
